In the nomination “Best Young Researcher of DKU”, the winner was Assem Abdunurova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Doctor of Economic Sciences.
On December 17, 2025, a scientific competition dedicated to Science Day was held at DKU. A total of 12 applications were submitted for participation.
Assem Abdunurova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Doctor of Economic Sciences, was recognized for her academic and research achievements.
Since defending her PhD in 2022, Assem Abdunurova has published four scientific articles in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and has participated as a speaker at international conferences in France (Paris), Spain (University of Zaragoza), Poland, and other countries. She is also the principal investigator of the state-funded research project “Institutionalization of Social Conflicts in Kazakhstan: Conflict Management through the Transformation of Values Based on the Integral Technology of Spiral Dynamics” (Project ID: AR19679820, 2023–2025).
The Selection Committee congratulated Assem Abdunurova on this significant achievement. She was rightfully recognized as one of the leading researchers of the university in 2025.

Participation in the Organization of a School Olympiad in Economics and Entrepreneurship
Assem Abdunurova actively participated in organizing an academic olympiad for high school students focused on economics and entrepreneurship. The event aimed to foster interest in economic education among youth and identify talented students for future enrollment in university programs. As the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship, she supervised the structure of tasks, evaluation criteria, and took part in the awarding ceremony.
This initiative reflects her ongoing efforts to build strong connections between secondary education and higher academic institutions in Kazakhstan.

Keynote Speech at the National Currency Day Conference — November 15, 2023
On November 15, 2023, Assem Abdunurova delivered a keynote presentation during the National Currency Day celebration, an event dedicated to the economic significance of Kazakhstan's national currency, the tenge.
Her speech highlighted the historical evolution of the tenge, its role in strengthening national identity, and current macroeconomic challenges. The event brought together scholars, policymakers, and finance professionals, and served as a platform for discussing the future of monetary policy in the region.
